Whenever I read stories like these I am reminded that once upon a time we faced similar threats from trans-national crime organizations here in the States, yet never, never did these crime organizations come close to taking over this country.
And that’s exactly what their doing in Mexico, so what’s the difference?
Psssst — it’s the culture.
Shhhh, don’t say that too loud you can get in trouble for telling the truth these days you fool!
Mexicans have chosen paternal socialism for decades now, choosing to disarm themselves and turn themselves into defenseless chickens ripe for easy plucking while at the same time hosting a culture known for corruption.
And here’s the best part as far as I’m concerned — it ain’t our fault. There is no way in perdition that Uncle Sugar can be blamed for the choices Mexico has freely made.
It is time and past time to shut down our border with Mexico and let them melt down into whatever it is they need to become. If that’s a narco-state, fine, whatever they become would actually almost have to be an improvement from our point of view. Sometimes you have to allow the pimple to grow before you can easily pop it, Mexico needs to be an ally or an enemy, and we need to let them decide which it will be.
And until that time we need to protect ourselves from their corrupt narco-culture as best we can, think of it as being similar to HIV procedures in a hospital. It isn’t ‘racist’ to protect yourself from infection no more than it is to protect yourself from a culture as sick as Mexico’s.
