I particularly enjoyed a chat with one guy who stopped to talk while walking down Michigan avenue. He said that he was now sorry he voted for Obama, with the fiscal choices he’s making, and that he had hoped he’d do better. He called the spending that’s going on in Washington “ridiculous.”
And my day was made complete, of course, by someone walking by and shouting in my face “You’re a racist!” I’m guessing it was someone who knows me from our illegal immigration activism, not in response to my sign:

I’d call today a smashing success. Having witnessed the struggle to get people out to protest various issues in the past, today’s numbers at events across the country were incredibly telling. Americans are at a simmering point with the way our country is being run.
