Chicago Tax Day Tea Party: Pictorial #1
Posted by thebaldchick in Uncategorized |I am pleased to report that we had a tremendous turnout out for today’s tea party in Chicago. Estimating crowds is far from my strong suit, but if I had to guess Id say we had a couple thousand people. Truly amazing for a city as big and blue as The Windy City.
Jake is hard at work getting video ready to go up, so do check back for that. It includes some great on-the-street interviews, as well as footage of the crowd jeering a CNN reporter after she gives an interviewee in the crowd a hard time. If that doesn’t get ya back here to watch it, I don’t know what will!
Here is the first installment of pictures. More are on the way after I wade through the balance of the several hundred we took. As you’ll see, the American people are getting angry about any number of elements regarding our government, and they’re not afraid to say it.
(Tea) party on…
The block was already filling up when we arrived nearly an hour before the event was scheduled to officially begin.
Again, no one seemed to be shy about voicing their discontent…

(for any non-Chicagoans tuning in, Palatine is a suburb of the city…loved the poke at the recent “Free Palestine” protests!)
