A Little More On That Thing That Most Definitely ISN’T Happening!

Posted by Jake

Pshaw, its just trade folks

John McCain hailed the economic benefits of free trade to Colombians Wednesday, raising the possibility of an eventual hemispheric-wide agreement even though a weak economy at home has soured many U.S. voters on trade agreements.

Of course the EU started via a “free trade” agreement, but I understand to note that would be crazy talk! So since the same people that refuse to secure our border or even make a pretense of acting as if they thought this were a real nation insist it isn’t happening, it must not be happening, right?

Man accused in officer’s death an illegal immigrant

HOUSTON — From his hospital bed, Houston police Officer Joe Pyland spent much of Monday answering phone calls and welcoming visitors.

The outpouring of support is helping him cope with his injuries and deal with the overwhelming loss of his friend Officer Gary Gryder.

Pyland and Gryder were working traffic control along a Katy Freeway feeder road Sunday when a driver smashed through some road barricades and struck the officers. Gryder was killed, and Pyland was seriously injured.

HPD Officer Gary Gryder, left, and manslaughter suspect Hung Troung

“I lost a friend, you lost a friend. We lost a great police officer,” Pyland said in an exclusive interview with 11 News. “I’m guessing another two or three inches and I am probably gone also.”

Investigators said it is unclear if the driver of the car, Hung Truong, even saw the barricades or the flashing lights on the police car before the collision. Police said preliminary toxicology reports show that no alcohol or drugs were found in his system.

“My client is very, very sorry. I know some things have been reported in the media about his bizarre behavior, and I don’t know what the reason for that is. We’re going to find out, but I can tell you, right now he’s very, very sorry. He’s on his knees,” Troung’s attorney Skip Cornelius said.

The officers reported bizarre behavior on the part of the defendant at the scene while they were conducting their investigation. He appeared to be incoherent. He was laughing uncontrollably. There were times he’d sit on the pavement. We don’t have a clear indicator of what caused the behavior,” said Assistant Harris County D.A. Denise Bradley.

Troung has been charged with manslaughter. Harris County court records also revealed that Truong is an illegal immigrant.

Another case of what Brenda Walker calls “Immigrant Mass Murder Syndrome?” We’ll probably never know.

Declining Populations?

Posted by Jake

If you’ve read Mark Steyn’s America Alone you are well aware that prevailing wisdom insists that the West is simply too feckless to reproduce, right? Not so fast

Walker’s World: French births soar

WASHINGTON, April 30 (UPI) — The news that France has overtaken Ireland to boast the highest birthrate in Europe is intriguing for three different reasons….

The second development to note is that INED, France’s National Institute of Demographic Studies, has done some detailed research and concluded that France’s immigrant population is responsible for only 5 percent of the rise in the birthrate and that France’s population would be rising anyway even without the immigrant population.

So why would the gubmint lie about something like this?

Replacement Migration: Is It a Solution to Declining and Ageing Populations?

NEW YORK, 17 March (DESA) — The Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) has released a new report titled “Replacement Migration: Is it a Solution to Declining and Ageing Populations?”. Replacement migration refers to the international migration that a country would need to prevent population decline and population ageing resulting from low fertility and mortality rates. *snip*

– Population decline is inevitable in the absence of replacement migration. Fertility may rebound in the coming decades, but few believe that it will recover sufficiently in most countries to reach replacement level in the foreseeable future.

Hmmm, its almost as if there were some sort of ulterior motive? Hmmm, what could that be?

H/T Hibernia Girl who also explains why the French baby boom occurred!

Feckless gubmint files…

8 crack dealers shielded by S.F. walk away

San Francisco — An effort by San Francisco to shield eight young Honduran crack dealers from federal immigration officials backfired when the youths escaped from Southern California group homes within days of their arrival, officials said Monday. The walkaways are the latest in a string of embarrassments for city officials who are protecting illegal-immigrant drug dealers from federal authorities and possible deportation because of San Francisco’s 1989 declaration that the city is a sanctuary for undocumented immigrants.

But wait, if you order now we’ll throw in this amazing tale of good hard working illegal alien drug dealers in Texas…

3 teens charged in assault at shelter

Three 17-year-old male Bokencamp Children’s Shelter detainees from Honduras were arrested by police about 8 p.m. Monday following an assault on four center staff members. Staff members told police that Edgardo Casco-Perez, Sergio Davine-Paz and Javier Nunez-Ramirez appeared to be plotting an escape attempt and they attacked staff members who attempted to separate them, according to a Tuesday police brief. The teens are suspected members of an El Salvadoran street gang, the brief said.

To recap: the reason liberal policies are always an embarrassment and always fail is due to the painfully obvious fact that they turn reality on its head. When an individual is here in defiance of our laws you remove them from this country, that is an honestly compassionate response, both to the illegal alien and the American citizen. True compassion would be would be applying the law fairly and impartially.

Which is why it doesn’t happen, its too simple for the “vewy smart” people running this asylum.

What happens when an American citizen is foolish enough to contact a local sheriff to ask about immigration screening at the jail?

Feast your eyes!

Taste the accountability!

Indeed, what was “borderline insulting” about that exchange? Can anybody enlighten me on that one?

When a government official responds in this fashion you can assume they’re not doing their job and that they have the average intelligence of a kumquat!

A ‘Small Noisy Minority?’

Posted by Jake

Uh-huh, when over 75% of folks are a minority? Perhaps we need a new word

Welfare money might be going to illegal immigrants, but don’t call it a scandal

With the state budget facing a crisis and the economy on the skids, lately I have been reminded more than usual of the unreported costs generated by the undocumented in our midst. Complaints that come in sporadically in fat times greatly increase in frequency and volume when the governor calls for more than $1 billion in state budget cuts. Polls indicate most Nevadans long ago made up their minds about the aliens among them. A Public Opinion Strategies survey taken in April 2006 provides a substantive baseline for the Silver State’s immigration mind-set. Pollster Glen Bolger found 88 percent of voters saw themselves concerned “about the issue of illegal immigration.” And 76 percent saw a candidate’s stance on the issue as something they would likely consider before voting.

The real question is: what happens when this issue really gains traction? I guarantee it’ll be interesting!

Question Of The Day!

Posted by Jake

Okay, I already posted something on this, but I need it again to ask the question I have in mind

SAN FRANCISCO — California’s best-known sanctuary city — a haven for illegal immigrants — has been escorting convicted juvenile offenders back to their home countries at city expense for nearly a generation and shielding them from federal officials in the process.

But after several recent embarrassing incidents, this famously liberal enclave has been forced to reconsider how it deals with young undocumented criminals.

Ever since a city juvenile probation officer was detained by federal immigration authorities in Houston nearly seven weeks ago and questioned about two offenders he was escorting back to Honduras, the city has stopped flying such people home.

Instead, officials have increased the number sent to unsecured group homes in San Bernardino County. But then eight convicted juvenile drug dealers from Honduras walked away from facilities run by Silverlake Youth Services in recent days, creating an uproar among Inland Empire residents and officials.

“I was unaware that the city had its own foreign policy and immigration laws that superseded federal law,” San Bernardino County Supervisor Gary Ovitt said, referring to San Francisco. “No one should have to suffer from a poorly thought-out policy such as this.

First up let me just note that last paragraph as possibly one of the funniest things ever uttered by a sapient being!

Now, here’s my question: can you name me one unabashedly liberal policy or position that has not turned out to be a complete failure or embarrassment?

When Stupid People…

Comment! Commenter 100% takes issue with our 100% stories thusly…(see if you can spot the logical fallacy)

The BTK Killer - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Rader

Son of Sam - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Son_of_sam
Zodiac Killer - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zodiac_killer
John Wayne Gacy - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wayne_Gacy

All white guys
All US citizens
All serial killers

Your tactic of using a laundry list of crimes committed by illegals is insulting and wrong. I don’t agree with illegal immigration but when you bring your argument down to “MEXICANS ARE KILLING PEOPLE” your bring your credibility down to zero.

Nothing is 100% preventable. Does stopping illegal immigration erradicate vehicular manslaugher, rape and murder? No. If it was ONLY illegal immigrants that committed crimes, you’d have a point. But it’s not. And never will be.

Anybody? Buehler?

Let us review the basic argument of the 100% segment: if an illegal alien were not allowed to cross our virtually undefended border the singular and named crime could not have been committed.

Nowhere do we imply that these categories and types of crimes would cease if illegal aliens weren’t allowed in, nor do we imply that it is only illegal aliens committing these crimes. In fact we make an effort to avoid hyperbole and try like the dickens to stick to facts while calling people highly entertaining names.

I wanted to pull out this boneheaded quote for further inspection…

“but when you bring your argument down to “MEXICANS ARE KILLING PEOPLE” your bring your credibility down to zero.”

And does that hold true when, you know, MEXICANS REALLY ARE KILLING PEOPLE? See, when we run a 100% Preventable story it has to be nailed down, we have refrained from running them until we know all the facts, like for example immigration status. A number of blogs ran with the Jersey Executions story long before we did calling them illegal aliens ling before anyone had any proof of that.

But take a minute and think about what this person is saying, should we not report these stories? And if not, why not? We are told by the media, by our elected weaselsnakes, and by selected members of the treason (business) class that illegal aliens are by definition cuter than Muppets and twice as tasty, in fact, we are told on a regular basis that, notwithstanding the immense damage they’ve done their sending countries, if the entire population of the United States were replaced with MEXICANS!! America would be a much better country.

Yes, that really is the message of “family values” not stopping at the Rio Grande. Now, while I hardly think every MEXICAN is a monster, oddly enough, I really do think they are MEXICANS!!

So it hardly seems out of bounds to me to cast a gimlet eye on that country and ask if they are so amazingly delicious in every way why is their country a completely corrupt shithole? In fact, why in the areas they have taken over in this country are we seeing the exact same pathologies on display in MEXICO occurring here? If they truly are all our bettahs tell us they are?

To return to our commenter, this is a leftist argument from the word go, in that it asks us to not tell the truth in favor of “being nice.” It is also a liberal argument by arguing the exception, yes serial killers are white, what percentage of even the criminal population do they represent again?

And what percentage do our crispy — delicious illegal aliens represent? If you do the math you will see that while certainly not all MEXICANS commit crimes in this country, far too many do, in fact it is enough that if average Americans had any idea just how much crime was being perpetrated by our invaders they would have an entirely different view of this issue. Which is something our elites who seek to dismantle this country cannot allow hence the shoddy and emotional reporting that surrounds this issue and, as an extra added bonus, the impetus for what we do. (see ‘uncounted beans’ here and here)

Final thought, and our interlocutor misses what is the most important element of the story: these MEXICANS aren’t supposed to be here in the first place! We have absolutely no way to stop citizens from committing crimes, but oddly enough there is a method available for stopping those who have no business in this country from entering, and if they weren’t able to enter, almost by definition there crimes would be what boys and girls?

Say it with me…

Muslims outraged at police advert featuring cute puppy sitting in policeman’s hat

A postcard featuring a cute puppy sitting in a policeman’s hat advertising a Scottish police force’s new telephone number has sparked outrage from Muslims.

Tayside Police’s new non-emergency phone number has prompted complaints from members of the Islamic community.

The choice of image on the Tayside Police cards - a black dog sitting in a police officer’s hat - has now been raised with Chief Constable John Vine.

In other Islamic news: no major invention has ever come from the Islamotard religion, in fact nothing that isn’t completely freakin’ retarded has ever come from the “RELIGION OF CRISPY FLYING PIECES.”

But have no fear — they’ll begin “assimilating” any day now…any day now…

100% Preventable! The Deportation Joke!

Posted by Jake

You decide

Authorities: Hit & run suspect will be deported

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say an illegal immigrant charged in a hit & run accident that killed a Rock Hill teen will be deported.

Authorities say 15-year-old Christopher Lanier died Friday after he crossed the center line on a dirt bike, and a truck ran over him.

Thirty-year-old Santiago Solis of Rock Hill was charged Saturday with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death and driving without a license. York County Sheriff Bruce Bryant said Monday a federal identity check found that Solis is in the country illegally.

Bryant told The Herald of Rock Hill that Solis will be turned over to federal immigration officials for deportation to Mexico after dealing with the hit & run charges here.

Whew! Thank goodness he will be deported over our all but undefended border, that is a relief!

Deportation + Open borders = Invitation for criminals to return.

Synchronicity?

Posted by Jake

Its funny how it works sometimes. I was just reading this email from our good buddy ISIII about a job training program in Indiana for “immigrant” children which stated

“If we teach (language-minority students) to be engineers, people are afraid that they’re going to take their jobs,” he said. But engineering jobs often go untaken, Sims said, and his students’ bilingualism is an advantage when they enter the work force. “They’re already more marketable than most people,” Thomas said.

Uh-huh, yeah, multi-lingual is only valuable these days for reasons more closely related to treason that any other, so what should my wandering eye spy next? Another email, this one from Whitey DeKleining which notes that

Department of Labor Auditing Major Immigration Law Firm

In early June, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) announced that it is auditing all permanent labor certification applications filed by Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy LLP, a New York City law firm that bills itself as a global immigration firm, with offices across the nation and overseas. On June 3rd, DOL announced that it had, “information indicating that in at least some cases the firm improperly instructed clients who filed permanent labor certification applications to contact their attorney before hiring qualified U.S. workers.” The audits will determine if there was improper attorney involvement in consideration of U.S. worker applicants and if any applications should be denied or placed into department-supervised recruitment.

And from the AP

According to the Associated Press, DOL said the Fragomen law firm may have broken DOL rules because it provided corporate clients with recruiting forms that stated, “After an interview, should any of the [U.S. citizen] applicants appear to be qualified for the position, please contact a Fragomen attorney immediately to further discuss the candidate’s background as it relates to the requirements stated for said position.” Kim Berry, president of the Programmers Guild and advocate for tighter immigrant hiring rules, explained the reason for the legal assistance: “The reason an employer pays its lawyer $3,000 to $5,000 is because they need help in not finding qualified American workers.”

As I was lucky enough to never attend an institution of higher drinking I’ll have to rely on others for this but, I recall very clearly my sister considering a variety of options as she pursued her shiny computer some-goddamn-thing degree and one of the obvious considerations was: where were the jobs?

Americans figure out pretty quickly when they are no longer welcome in a given profession and quite sensibly avoid it. Which of course begs the question of why we allow ostensibly American companies to treat American citizens this way but that is another conversation entirely, one more concerned with the correct gauge of hemp rope for a hanging.

One of the things I find annoying in debating this issue are multiple layers of lies our opponents have seeded around these issues, every time you manage to plow through the first layer they simply deploy the next, and the next and the next, until you grow tired and shoot them, well, in a perfect world!

The reason these jobs aren’t being filled by Americans is that businesses have made it plain that Americans are not welcome in these jobs, and even if these jackass businesses were to hang out the shingle tomorrow and wanted to reverse the flow it would still take a little while as due to their shortsightedness now sane practical Americans really don’t pursue them having gotten the not so subtle message to piss off.

Those Be Some Mighty Funny ‘Ethics’ Padre!

Posted by Jake

Frank @ Common Sense Junction noticed this interesting tale….

A Coweta County [GA] builder is in jail charged with murder after authorities say he shot one of his own subcontractors he mistook for a copper thief early Saturday morning.

Richard Jason Veitch, 28, maintains it was unintentional, but on Monday a magistrate judge ruled against reducing the murder charge against him to involuntary manslaughter.

Veitch believed he was stopping a trio of thieves who had come to steal copper from one of his unfinished homes in Moreland, south of Newnan. But the men were there to install drywall.

Gaston Gonzalez, of Norcross, was killed when deputies say Veitch twice jabbed a gun into the man’s neck and it discharged. He died en route to an area hospital, said Coweta County Sheriff Mike Yeager, who called the incident “very unfortunate and tragic.”

*snip*

The sheriff said Gonzalez didn’t speak English and didn’t understand Veitch’s orders to put his hands in the air.

Now here’s the kicker…

The builder, who also is a part-time minister at Happy Valley Baptist Church in Newnan, had reported several incidents of copper theft at homes located in the same neighborhood as his lot in Moreland. Copper theft has been on the rise in the metro area because the price scrap copper brings is escalating.

This story is wrong on so many levels but, you have to wonder at a person who hires illegal aliens being a part time pastor. One wonders if he ever read the verse about “rendering unto Caesar?”

Because as you well know if you don’t like the laws you get to break them willy-nilly, right? That’s the Christian way. Oh wait, I’m sure he was being “compassionate,” with compassion now being defined as screwing your neighbor!

In all seriousness I have to wonder just how many churches these days are simply out of the Jesus business. I know where we live we are having a devil of a time finding a church that doesn’t preach the gospel according to Marx. In fact we won’t even consider a church that has the phrase ’social justice’ on its web site. Not to say that ’social justice’ isn’t a fine thing, but it seems to have become a code phrase among progressive churches that indicates a church a lot more interested in hard left wing politics as opposed to the gospel.

And you can count us out of that deal.

Its a shame to me that so much of the church has simply abdicated on this issue, they could do a lot of good if they weren’t almost all completely insane.

Ah Globalization…

Posted by Jake

Is there anything it can’t do?

Food safety inspectors struggle with swelling volume of imports

LAREDO – Day after day, Mexican trucks line up as far as the eye can see for entry to the U.S. at the World Trade Bridge, carrying everything from raw tomatoes, broccoli and fresh basil to frozen seafood. They also bring in salmonella, listeria, restricted pesticides and other food poisons.
Customs and Border Protection officers take less than a minute per truck to determine which products enter the U.S. and find their way into grocery stores and restaurants across North Texas.
Most trucks are waved through. The avalanche of imported goods – especially food from Mexico – is too much for the limited number of inspectors at the nation’s 300 ports of entry to effectively screen, critics say. And the sheer volume makes it impossible for them to carry out their mission: protecting the U.S. food supply and American consumers.

Not all nations are the same, they have different customs, habits and differing hygiene standards. The reason “globalization” is such a lunatic notion is simply because it is predicated on the notion that all peoples, in all places are exactly the same.

Even Mexico Gets a Taste of the Red Tape

Posted by Rhonda

All along I had thought that they could get anything they wanted within 30 minutes, like ordering from Domino’s.

So the first installment of the 400 milliones is in the mail…no, really!

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration said Tuesday it would take months, and possibly longer, to deliver $400 million in emergency assistance to help Mexico combat murderous drug cartels, days after pressing Congress to urgently approve the money.

Three senior Bush administration officials outlined various bureaucratic impediments to speedy delivery of assistance to bolster Mexican President Felipe Calderon’s $4 billion, military-style campaign against drug traffickers.

The cartels have killed more than 4,000 people over the past 21 months, including some 450 police officers, soldiers or government officials.

Challenges to implementing the first phase of the Merida Initiative include developing coordination between the Defense Department, the State Department and the Treasury; setting benchmarks for success; and prolonged procurements of military equipment such as helicopters and surveillance aircraft.

“Both governments have seized a political moment to show solidarity, but the real planning for implementation has yet to take place,” said Andrew Selee, director of the Mexico Institute at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C. “There was a real sense of urgency to show cooperation, without coordination on a long-term plan.”

Mr. Selee has forgotten to take his truth serum today. The fact is that Mexico kicked and screamed bloody murder against any or all conditions being placed on money being given to them. And you know the general rule about beggars not being choosers? Well, with them it doesn’t apply. No doubt they are making demands as we speak, spending that money mentally, with little regard as to the ramifications on our national security.

They are what we country folk used to call “spoilt”. Bless their hearts.

But Rep. John Culberson, R-Houston, said he was “personally outraged and deeply disappointed that the Bush administration was so obsessed with pandering to Mexico.”

“How soon can we repeal the spending?” he added.

A Calderon spokesman had no comment.

None that we can repeat for the record, you mean.

Roderic Ai Camp, an expert on Mexico’s security issues at Claremont McKenna College in California, said Mexican government officials would not be surprised by the timetable.

“They’re pretty sophisticated about how things work in Washington,” he said.

Thank you, Captain Obvious! The corruption of the Mexican gubberment has been so pervasive that it’s seeped into the bowels of what was once a fairly accountable bunch - even if they were preening themselves from their own face-first headers into the gutter. But what we have here is a combo of demanding and manipulative business forces comingling and even fornicating with a godless, arrogant, lazy, and aristocratic pseudo-mocracy that are too proud to take any kind of criticism or direction, but yet not quite proud enough to stand up on their own merit.

Bulletproof vests, secure communications gear and U.S. training would be the first U.S. assistance to reach the estimated 30,000 Mexican security forces battling the cartels, Walters said.

Procurement of equipment such as aircraft “obviously will take longer,” he said.

Drug dealers with some of our training, our comm gear, our vests, and now aircraft, too. How long will it be before the “Mexican military” starts strafing El Paso and Phoenix? And then what will we do, I wonder. And before you say that’s not possible, then let me point out the history of the Zetas.

Just a hint: they’re not the kind that tap kegs and wear goofy Hawaiian shirts.
